What is a 'reset"?

As a distributor, we are regulated by the Australian Energy Regulator and are required to submit our expenditure and revenue proposals every five years for their review and approval. This process is often referred to as a ‘price reset’ – hence the term ‘reset’ you will see throughout this site and our broader communications.

Who are the key players involved in the Regulatory Reset?

We worked closely with our CAB (formerly known as our Customer Consultative Panel) to design our Reset engagement approach, along with the SA Government, Australian Energy Regulator (AER) and Electricity Services Commission of SA (ESCOSA).

Mark Vincent, Executive General Manager, Strategy and Transformation has been spearheading the Reset Engagement Program, ensuring close collaboration with the CAB, representing the voice of the customers and community members.

What are some of the themes behind the Regulatory Reset?

Based on extensive customer research and consultation, the major themes behind our Regulatory Reset are:

    • Affordable and equitable energy supply
    • A reliable, resilient and safe electricity network
    • Customer experience, choice and empowerment
    • Enabling clean energy and unlocking future value for our state
