Why is SA Power Networks holding the Panel?

SA Power Networks is the sole electricity distributor in South Australia, delivering electricity and critical infrastructure to around 900,000 customers.

The People's Panel provides customers an opportunity to be the voice of the community and shape future levels of energy services and cost to customers.

50 everyday South Australians will be selected to be a part of the Panel allowing us to present our recommendations to the Australian Energy Regulator as a part of our 2025-2030 Regulatory proposal.

How will the People's Panel work?

The People's Panel is a participative process facilitated by democracyCo. During the Panel, the members will work together to understand the service levels and costs and deliberate on the best outcome for all South Australians.

Members will hear from experts and stakeholders, working in small groups with other everyday South Australians to come to agreement on the best way forward for pricing and energy services for SA Power Networks 2025-2030 Regulatory Proposal.

    How is the Panel selected?

Everyone registering their interest in being involved in the Panel will be entered into a random stratification process of choosing a Panel of up to 50 people reflecting the diversity of our South Australian community. This will be undertaken by the independent organisation democracyCo.

Invitation to participate in the People's Panel is not transferrable.
