What is the Draft Proposal?

Our Draft Proposal is the initial draft of the document that we propose to submit to the Australian Energy Regulator to meet our regulatory obligations to review our expenditure and revenue proposals every five years. This process is often referred to as a ‘price reset’ or ‘Reset’. Our Draft Proposal is the culmination of an extensive Reset engagement program that explored investment options and the implications of these, from the perspective of a range of sectors: households, businesses and local and state government.

Why does SA Power Networks want feedback on the draft proposal?

SA Power Networks has a strong commitment to listening to our customers and stakeholders, understanding their differing needs and priorities. We want to be confident that our Draft Proposal reflects what we heard during our Reset engagement program and that the Proposal has strong community support.  While we haven’t been able to engage with all customers or stakeholders in the development of the Draft Proposal, the feedback stage allows any interested party to comment on our plan before we submit the final version to the AER for consideration.

How will my feedback be used?

All feedback will be considered as part of the finalisation of our proposal that will be submitted to the AER in January 2024. We will provide a formal response to all submissions that we receive, outlining how the feedback has informed our Final Proposal.
