Dynamic Exports Technical Requirements
The government of South Australia introduced new Dynamic Exports Requirements in 2023 as part of the regulatory changes for Smarter Homes, requiring all exporting solar systems to be capable of receiving and adhering to site export limits via IEEE 2030.5:2018 CSIP-AUS. These regulatory changes mean that all exporting systems installed after 1st July 2023 are eligible to enrol in SA Power Networks’ Flexible Exports connection option.
CSIP-AUS (SA TS 5573:2025) forms the national standard for enabling smart inverters and energy management systems to be compatible with dynamic connections options such as Flexible Exports.
