National Arboriculture Conference May 2022

A number of Local Government Representatives, along with SA Power Networks staff, Treenet and Active Tree Services attended the recent conference in QLD in May.

This was the first conference for 3-years due to COVID 19.

From those who attended it was noted as a great opportunity to network with others on the challenges within the vegetation industry. A clear observation is the industry shift to recognition of Cultural Significance, Mental Health Awareness, Inclusion, Urban Heat Maps and Greening our Communities and Technology, in particular Lidar and Satellite Technology.

Photographed below are the Yugambeh people who are the traditional owners on the land of which we met. Aunty Bev Hand presented to the Conference on traditional plant uses by the Yugambeh people, which all attendees found interesting.
