The purpose of the Innovation Advisory Group (IAG) is to provide customer and industry input to the prioritisation, selection and delivery of Innovation Fund projects and ensure innovation projects have a focus on delivering customer outcomes.
While the primary role of the IAG is for consultation and accountability on Innovation Fund projects and priorities, visibility of, and input into, the broader Innovation Framework provides important context.

Meet our Chair
Ed Chan has been appointed as Chair of our Innovation Advisory Group.
Ed is an experienced and well-respected senior leader in the energy industry and member of SA Power Networks' CER Integration Advisory Group (CERIAG).
As part of his current role as Energy Advisory Lead at consultancy Mott MacDonald, Ed is working closely with both retail and network businesses to identify and implement initiatives that better integrate distributed energy resources and support Australia's energy transition.
He also recently led the co-design of AEMO's CER Data Exchange.
Ed has extensive experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams, including in previous roles such as Policy Director of the Australian Energy Market Commission and CER and Data Strategy Lead at the Energy Security Board. Ed is particularly passionate about the importance of industry collaboration and partnerships, to ensure innovation initiatives deliver customer benefits across the whole energy supply chain.
