Energy Literacy - Train the Trainer Program

Our 2026 Train the Trainer program is designed to empower financial wellbeing and community sector workers with the knowledge and tools to better understand electricity.

These sessions will be interactive, engaging and designed to equip you with the practical knowledge to share with your networks and provide energy literacy and capacity building to those in need.

SAFCA CPD CREDITS - The training will provide participants with 4 points towards their Continued Professional Development.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will finish the training with the knowledge, resources and skills to:

Understand the wider energy landscape in Australia and SA
Understand where to seek and find support and help for energy/electricity issues
Understand how to read an electricity bill
Understand the factors contributing to average and high energy use in the home
Understand how to find out how much an electrical appliance uses
Learn ways of reducing electricity costs
Resources you can use in client conversations and community education sessions.
