Areas of focus included:
Medium Embedded Generator (MEG) Process Changes
- Informal adjustments have been implemented in line with the updated AS/NZS 4777.1:2024 standard. Further stakeholder engagement is planned to evaluate MEG threshold requirements.
Connections Process Harmonisation
- Efforts are underway to harmonise processes across different connection types to simplify applications. A consistent pricing formula will be introduced from July 2025 to align external communications and internal systems.
Flexible Connections and Negotiated Connections
- Flexible Connections will commence in July 2025, with Negotiated Connections being introduced to the Portal in the following months. Training and webinars are being developed to educate the industry on these changes.
